I’ve been waiting since-yes –October 2009 for this… Hasselblad has just released the newest version of FlexColor which supports Snow Leopard… YEAH! Visit Hasselblad.com for the software update…. now back to scanning!
As I have mentioned here on FR I am in the process of putting together a book called The Photographers Coffee Break which will outline my technique for the Caffenol C process as well as considerations and techniques for scanning, PS imagework and printing. So, I’ve decided to ask the question… what format would you like to see The Photographers Coffee Break take: Book, PDF Downloadable Book, Book and PDF option, Video (DVD) or online Video… I’m just looking for some feedback here. SO PLEASE VOTE BELOW!

This last week at our studio Indian Hill Imageworks was a bit crazy so articles on the Kodak Zi8 and the multi part article/ video on Instant films will be released this next week… I am currently in NYC for a few days so stay tuned!

I’m about to start an extensive test of the new Kodak Zi8 which is due out next month. From my first tests this is a huge improvement on the Zi6 and perfect for my video recordings here on FR. One feature I love is the mic input with adjustable record level… this is huge as most internal mics are Mono and a bit noisy to say the least… so I got a little carried away.
Here is the rig I made using existing parts- a nice setup as I get a 90 degree and 120 degree stereo recording that when matched to the visual is a nice small package. My more in-depth review will be in a week or two but all videos from here on will be recorded on this setup… with and without the rather (ahem) phallic mic.

I always like to get email and notes from photographers who use information gathered here on FR or who use the products I make for their artworks… I just received this email and photo (see below) from Richard Selwyn… very cool… literally!
Richard’s Email Text: A few photos for you from Argentina, Patagonia (ektar 100 film, 35mm lux or WATE). We had a great time and your bag was amazing. Was really harsh conditions – trekking in winter with some v bad weather. The bag worked beautifully and was even better because it is so light and hard wearing. Thanks also for sending the bag through to me quickly.
