Just got back last night from a great trip to Cape Cod… shot 7 rolls of the new Kodak Portra 400 which will be processed tomorrow as today there is a bit of an ice storm hitting our area. I plan on a full review by the weekend.

Made it Cape Cod this morning for my yearly outing and teaching a private workshop over the next few days. My plan is to also test the Kodak Portra 400 on this trip for an article here on FR late next week… So far the film has really amazed me… But now I need to turn my attention to steamed Wellfleet Littlenecks for lunch!!

I just made the train from Albany to NYC for Photo Plus Expo with about a minute to spare… Note to the city of Albany… A few more directional signs would be nice!!!
I have several meeting set for today and I am attending an exhibition tonight so if you are on the floor of the show today and want to chat just send me a note….

That’s right! The Figital Revolution is Paris bound… I will be in Paris, France from April 4 – 13 for a combination of shooting / business and family time. If you are around and would like to meet for a glass of wine please just let me know. Seriously!
I met Peter Gowland when he was making my wide 4″ x 5″ TLR some years back at the young age of 91- I found my many conversations with him to be very engaging and creative. I have just learned today that he passed away on March 17th. On behalf of the FR I wish to send our condolences to Alice and the entire Gowland family… Peter will be very missed.
As I am putting my notes together to produce “The Photographers Coffee Break”, I decided to do a quick calculation on the actual cost for Caffenol C Developer as sourced from my local grocery store… $1.00 per roll if you use distilled water… .75¢ per roll if you use tap water… not bad at all!
I am leaving for New Orleans later today so for the next few days posts here on FR will come from my ipod Touch.
I just started a new discussion on the Facebook Figital Revolution page- 1 Film for Life:
http://www.facebook.com/figitalrevolution
Given the current rate of films being retired this may be a good conversation to start… post not only what you like but WHY you like it.
