Ok, I admit it…I’m a bag (camera bag) aholic. Are you? This audioblog seeks to give an answer to this “condition” that plagues photographers everywhere. How should you carry your gear? Why do camera bags suck? What is the best way to carry your gear for travel photography? All of these and more are considered and answered in this therapeutic audioblog. The images below are referenced in this audioblog so give a listen and let the healing begin. To order the bag seen below (does not include insert) call: Iomar Perez in Puerto Rico at 787.612.6862.
To order a Y Strap just click on the link.
I agree with your philosophy. Basically less is more. As a longtime M shooter I would shoot with just two lenses, a 35 and a 50. I’ve carried that over the Canon 5D I’m using today.
I’ve found the Fatboy Versipack will carry just a lens or two, phone, wallet, cards, spare battery. More like a “man purse.” l like that is slings like your strap.

The Shootsac seems pretty pricey. I still use a Kodak waistpack
that fills the need you describe too.

Jim-
I checked out the bag on the link and it seems pretty cool. I agree that the shootsac is overpriced… I ‘d like to see some changes made to it like better neoprene and maybe one that only has 4 pockets and a waterproof flap that covers the whole top. I tried one for a few days and dam it was comfortable but I think it could use a few tweaks. I really just wear now the Y strap with my M and two lenses and a few rolls in my pockets…this is in my opinion the best carry I have ever had.
Best-

ok. so none of the links for the Y-stap work. where can i find more information…
The Y Strap is no longer made.
Sorry- Stephen
No!!! You have got to be kidding, the Y-strap is awesome! Now I wish I had bought several. In fact, right now I could use 3 for sure. Black Rapid R strap sucks.
