Steve, this was really useful and interesting. None of them was really quite there as far as replicating the look of classic Tri-X. However, each was beautiful in its own way. I Think the Rodinal might’ve been the closest.
I’d love to see you do this with Eastman 5222. It’s just about become my go to classic silver rich black-and-white film choice.

I agree that Rodinal is probably the closest— Eastman 5222 is more related to TXP 320 — both of them were born out of XX.
