Strap Material: 1” Military Spec Tubular Webbing with a strength of 18KN or 4,000 lbF…it’s what mountain climbers call “bomb” proof! Available in BLACK!

Adjustable for almost any body size and clothing type- from t-shirts to thick winter coats- using a time-tested slip lock which is used on most adventure hardware today.

All stitches are done with durable heavy-duty upholstery thread with multiple passes for maximum dependability.

UPDATE: February 7, 2009… if you want to use the Y Strap on a camera like the Canon G9 or G10 or the Amazing Sigma DP1 there is now a solution to the very small lugs provided by these cameras….The MITY MINI.

UPDATE 2: Also for anyone with worries that the metal ring on the Y Strap may scratch your camera here is a really inexpensive solution that a user suggested:  Adapt-Its

I’ve never had a problem myself but it is an interesting solution!

Y STRAP REVIEW – REID REVIEWS March 26, 2008

“When I first tried the Y Strap, I wasn’t sure it would be my cup of tea. I’ve been photographing for a long time and am largely a creature of habit. As such, it initally felt strange to carry and use my Leica M8 in this unusual way. But after a day of using the strap, I must say that it really grew upon me. It did hold the camera against my body quite well and bringing the finder to my eye was, indeed, fast and simple. It also was the least tiring way I’ve ever carried a rangefinder camera. The weight distribution was such that I never once noticed the weight of the M8 and lens, when the camera was hanging from the strap, and I also never felt any neck strain. ”

- Sean Reid of Reid Reviews

The ring used for camera attachment to the Y Strap is- YES!- a heavy duty key chain ring (steel split ring)- at 1.25” it is extremely durable.

How much can you really hold from this system? More than you would want to around your neck! Use common sense people!

Warranty: One (1) year.

Each sale of a Y Strap or NO POD or Wrist Wonder makes it possible for this web site to be sponsor and advertiser free. This is very important and it allows honest in depth articles and discussion to occur with the purpose of engaging photographers in a dialogue about our medium today…and hopefully keeping the medium we all love fun.
