I was hoping that 100 other people would be interested and send you about the same amount of money to help you meet your goal. I thought $50 would be the minimal amount of money that similar info in book format would cost me in a bookstore. (To be honest with you I am not sure if $5,000 pays you for all the hours and the material costs you made in that project.)
I feel almost disappointed to have the money back because I still do not have access to the Caffenol information.
The return message mentions you are reconsidering the direction the Figital Revolution is heading. I honor that thought, if you want to continue or change directions you should let your audience know what is the best way to support your work.

but you alsways write, that you want the money to be donated, but how do I actually donate? Do I have to listen to the audio-blog to gather the information? Than I would to have listen very carefully, since I am not a native speaker and have to grab pen and paper to get it down – hopefully correctly.

Please post the information on how to donate in a written form.

I’m inclined to purchase a copy of the book in either hard copy PDF for $20 or $25. In fact, I’d be happy to be the first in line on a prepaid waiting list knowing that I could take delivery in a few weeks. I’d like to take advantage of your R&D and learn from your experience with the caffenol process. I’m much less inclined to make a similar sized donation in the hopes that another 249 people will also be interested in buying in and the information might eventually become available.

I notice that several posts above indicate that they’ve made donations, but the counter still reads zero.

First off, thank you for all the information you have shared. It is a great advertisement for you. I am hoping to spend some time on the phone with you to get some consultation/mentoring and would be interested in a workshop as well, so I think it is paying you dividends.

The Caffenol-C project is really intriguing and I was waiting for the book to be released. I like the idea of a book, something I can pick up and refer to without having to sit in front of a computer, perhaps there is a print on demand option for this subset of your audience?

One other thing you might want to consider is something Ctein is doing – http://ctein.com/CollectCtein.htm. Pay a monthly or yearly fee to help support an artist’s work and at the end of the year some of the artist’s work. A little different, but perhaps there are aspects of this that might appeal to you and your audience?

I like books and like photography. Books of photographers about photography are a constant joy to hold and to browse. However, I do understand your rationale to not publish your intellectual property if you know it will be stolen from you. It is a damn shame! I have sent a donation; information and research is a valuable good and it needs to be supported. I am sure that a lot of film lovers feel the same way. All the best!
